With an impressive Gala dinner, in an atmosphere full of emotion, FORUM SA celebrated 5 years of strategic cooperation with the NURNBERGMESSE Exhibition Group.
Representatives of the political and business world, journalists, partners, gathered on Saturday, November 23rd , at Faros – Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, to celebrate the company’s thriving path over the past 5 years.
The Lord Mayor of the city of Nuremberg and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the NürnbergMesse Group, Mr. Marcus König, and the CEO of the NürnbergMesse Group, Mr. Peter Ottmann, represented the NürnbergMesse Group, at the glamorous ceremony.
Among the attendees were also: Vicky Loizou, Secretary General for Industry Ministry of Development · Government of the Hellenic Republic, Elena Rapti – Deputy Minister of Tourism, PASOK MP and Head of Tourism Sector – Ekaterini Spyridaki, SYRIZA MP and Head of Tourism Sector – Kalliopi Veta, Theodoros Mouriadis – Mayor of the Municipality of Kavala, Takis Angelides – Deputy Mayor for Development and Tourism of the Municipality of Kavala, Yannis Smyrlis – General Manager New Democrasy, Yiannis Triantafyllou – Director of the Secretariat of Productive Sectors of New Democracy, Theofania Pantazi – Secretary of the Department of International Development of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, George Kavathas – President Hellenic Confederation of Professionals, Craftsmen & Merchants, Panos Moraitis – President Panhellenic Association of Catering Equipment Businesses.
The event, coordinated by journalist Maria Nikoltsiou, began with the greeting of Secretary General for Industry Ministry of Development, who represented the Prime Minster of Greece, Ms. Vicky Loizou, who stated: “Exhibitions provide added value and play a very important role in the ecosystem of the Greek economy. They connect the professionals of the tourism induatry, food and beverage and construction sectors. I am honored to celebrate with with you today the 5 years of this successful collaboration between FORUM and NürnbergMesse Group.”
Next the place at the podium took Lord Mayor of the city of Nuremberg and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the NürnbergMesse Group, Mr. Marcus König: “It is a great pleasure for me to be with you today. I am proud that we started this journey 5 years ago and it is an honor to celebrate together the successful results of our cooperation. Your professionalism and willingness to innovate, when it comes to organizing exhibitions, are worthy of mention. FORUM and NM are one family and I look forward to what we can achieve together at the future.”
The CEO of NürnbergMesse Group, Mr. Peter Ottmann, stated: “As CEO of NürnbergMesse Group, the first exhibition of the year that I visit, of those organized by the group worldwide, is HORECA and the last one is XENIA. FORUM is a real jewel and I am very happy about our strategic partnership. Because when you say you are trying 100%, it actually means 110% and in the end you achieve 120%. As, the President & CEO of FORUM SA, Mr. Thanos Panagoulias mentioned at his speech during the event: “It is a beautiful journey that began 5 years ago. Over the years, FORUM has evolved, innovated, experimented, developed, and remained competitive. My vision for the company is to continue to play an important role in the exhibition industry, to organize premium commercial events, and to bring the Greek and global exhibition industry ecosystem together. Also present at the event was Mrs. Sandra Zafirakopoulou, General Manager of Make-A-Wish, as FORUM, instead of a commemorative gift to the attendees, donated at the non-profit organization. During her speech, she stated: “I would like to express my gratitude to FORUM for this important gesture. Make-A-Wish reaches into the hearts of children who, due to an illness, have forgotten what childhood means, and fulfills their deepest desire. Thank you for contributing to our purpose that no wish goes unfulfilled.”
