From September 27 to 29, the Technopolis of the City of Athens transformed into a paradise for coffee lovers, music enthusiasts, and good company. 

For three days, we filled our cups with unique coffee varieties from Guatemala, Costa Rica, Panama, Jamaica, Colombia, Brazil, Ecuador, Peru, Ethiopia, Indonesia, and Vietnam. We tasted exceptional blends from over 110 premium coffee brands and the most renowned Greek microroasteries, learned tips from top experts, watched thrilling coffee championships, played backgammon, danced to live DJ sets, and laughed at hilarious stand-up shows. 

From the very first moment, Super Host Thanasis Alevras set the tone with his explosive energy and boundless humor, turning every punchline into a unique experience. 

Day 1 Highlights 

Sofia Moutidou delivered two hours of laughter, satire, and self-irony, while CJ JEFF took the stage on a musical journey full of groove and intensity, keeping the crowd dancing non-stop until late. 

Barista, Coffee Roasting, and Brewers Cup competitions showcased the high level of Greece’s specialty coffee scene, with participants impressing with technical precision and passion. 

Workshops and presentations taught us how to craft the perfect freddo espresso, create coffee scrubs, and mix original coffee cocktails. 

The backgammon tournament, under the auspices of the Hellenic Federation of Traditional Backgammon, offered moments of strategy, surprises, and connection to Greek tradition. 

Day 2 Highlights 

Dedicated to knowledge and empowerment, coffee champions shared their experiences, while mentoring by IWCA Greece highlighted the role of women in the industry. 

Hera Katsouda’s bold humor made us laugh and relate, deconstructing everyday life with sensitivity and wit. 

Maggie Charalampidou closed the night with an explosive music set full of ethnic and dance influences, turning the venue into a never-ending party. 

Day 3 Highlights 

The final day was the ultimate culmination of an experience that blended taste, knowledge, and rhythm. 

It was the moment when love for coffee became a celebration of creativity, innovation, and global culture. 

Visitors explored the art of specialty coffee from production to preparation, with experts passionately analyzing each stage. 

Viral recipes and original drinks revealed what makes a coffee stand out, while presentations on modern industry challenges offered valuable insights into its evolution. 

Focus on innovative Colombian coffee processing highlighted the country’s strength as a top producer, with techniques delivering unique flavor profiles. 

The excitement peaked with the announcement of the Coffee Roasting Champion 2026—a moment filled with emotion, applause, and enthusiasm. 

With technical excellence and creativity, the winner proved why they deserve to represent Greece in the global competition. 

 The backgammon tournament continued to offer strategic fun, celebrating Greek tradition and skill. 

And when Xenia Ghali took over the decks, the night turned into a wild party. With house and tech house beats, the internationally acclaimed DJ created a musical journey that electrified the crowd, backed by top artists confirming her place on the global stage.
